Follow these steps for proper installation of the Hager 2500 Series Cylindrical Passage Lock.
1. Kofa Shiri
Ensure your door is prepared with the following standard dimensions:
- Cross Bore: 2-1/8 inches (54 mm) diameter
- Edge Bore (Latch Hole): 1 inch (25 mm) diameter
- Komawa: 2-3/4 inci (70mm)
Use the provided template (if applicable) to mark and drill holes accurately. Incorrect drilling can affect lock function and security.
2. Install Latch Mechanism
- Insert the latch mechanism into the edge bore of the door, ensuring the bevel of the latch bolt faces the door frame.
- Secure the latch with the provided screws.
3. Install Lock Chassis
- Align the lock chassis with the cross bore, ensuring the spindle engages with the latch mechanism.
- Insert the exterior and interior lever assemblies.
- Secure the lock chassis with the through-bolts or mounting screws. The design features no exposed mounting screws for a clean appearance.
4. Install Strike Plate
- Mark the position for the ASA strike plate on the door frame, aligning it with the latch bolt.
- Chisel out the mortise for the strike plate to sit flush with the door frame.
- Secure the strike plate with the provided screws.

The Hager 2500 Series Cylindrical Passage Lock is designed for non-locking applications. It allows free entry and exit at all times.
- To open the door, simply depress the lever handle on either side.
- Release the lever to allow the latch bolt to extend and secure the door in the closed position.
Lura: While two operating keys are supplied, these are typically for internal component access or specific installation adjustments, not for a locking function on a passage set. This lock does not provide security locking.
