1. Wuri
Install the thermostat approximately 5 feet (1.5 meters) above the floor in an area with good air circulation, away from direct sunlight, drafts, and heat sources. Avoid locations near windows, doors, or vents that could affect temperature readings.

Before beginning installation, ensure the power to your HVAC system is completely turned off at the circuit breaker.
3. Cire Tsohon Na'urar Zafi
Carefully remove your old thermostat from the wall. Take a picture of the existing wiring connections before disconnecting any wires. Label each wire with the terminal designation it was connected to.
4. Mount the New Thermostat
- Separate the front cover from the thermostat base.
- Position the thermostat base on the wall, feeding the wires through the opening.
- Mark the mounting holes. Drill pilot holes if necessary.
- Secure the thermostat base to the wall using the provided screws and anchors.

5. Wayoyi
Connect the wires to the corresponding terminals on the T4900 thermostat base. Refer to the wiring diagram specific to your HVAC system type (e.g., conventional, heat pump). The T4900 supports 4 Heat Stages & 2 Cool Stage.
Muhimmi: If only 4 wires are available for installation, the Venstar Add-A-Wire accessory (PN# ACC0410) may be required. Consult the Add-A-Wire installation instructions for details.
6. Attach Front Cover and Power On
Once wiring is complete, carefully attach the front cover to the thermostat base. Restore power to your HVAC system at the circuit breaker.
7. Kanfigareshan Farko
Upon first power-up, the thermostat may guide you through initial setup steps, including system type selection and basic date/time settings. Follow the on-screen prompts.
