1. Gabatarwa

This manual provides essential information for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Juniper Networks SRX300 Services Gateway.   • Alamar LED:
    • PWR: Alamar matsayin iko.

4.2 Rear Panel

The rear panel primarily houses the power input connector.

5. Saita

Follow these steps to set up your SRX300 Services Gateway:

  1. Cire na'urar: Carefully remove the SRX300 unit and all accessories from its packaging. Inspect for any physical damage.

    • Connect the other end (DB-9 or USB adapter) to your management workstation.
    • Configure your terminal emulation software (e.g., PuTTY, Tera Term) with the following settings: 9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, no flow control.
    • Power on the device. You should see boot messages in your terminal window.
    • Follow the on-screen prompts for initial configuration, including setting the root password and basic network parameters.
  5. Haɗa Kebul na Yanar Gizo: Connect your network devices (e.g., modem, switches, computers) to the appropriate Ethernet (ge-0/0/0 to ge-0/0/5) or SFP (ge-0/0/6, ge-0/0/7) ports as required by your network design.

6. Operating the SRX300

The SRX300 Services Gateway operates on Juniper's Junos OS. Configuration and management are primarily performed via the command-line interface (CLI) through the console port or SSH, or via the J-Web graphical user interface (GUI).

  • Accessing the CLI: Use a terminal emulator connected to the console port or an SSH client to connect to the device's IP address.
  • J-Web GUI: If enabled, access the J-Web interface by entering the device's IP address into a web mai bincike.
