- Insert the provided rechargeable battery pack, ensuring correct polarity. Alternatively, insert four (4) AA alkaline batteries (not included) if not using the rechargeable pack.

- A full charge typically takes several hours. Refer to the full user manual for specific charging times.

- 142 Privacy Codes: Offers up to 3,000 channel options to block other conversations and maintain privacy.
- Sadarwa Mai Nisa: Capable of up to 36 miles in ideal conditions, ensuring connectivity over significant distances.
- JIS4 Waterproof Protection: Splash-resistant design makes these radios suitable for outdoor use in various weather conditions.
- NOAA Weather Scan + Alert: Automatically scans 10 WX channels for severe weather updates and broadcasts AMBER alerts.
- Aikin SOS: Allows for sending out a distress signal to other radios on the same channel.

Umarnin Aiki
1. Kunna/Kashewa da Ƙarar Wuta
- To turn the radio ON, rotate the Power/Volume knob clockwise until you hear a click.
- To turn the radio OFF, rotate the Power/Volume knob counter-clockwise until you hear a click.

2. Button-to-Talk (PTT)
- To transmit, press and hold the PTT button located on the side of the radio. Speak clearly into the microphone.

3. Zabin Channel
- Press the MENU button once. The current channel number will flash.
- Use the UP/DOWN arrow buttons to select your desired channel (1-50).
- Press the PTT button to confirm your selection or MENU to move to the next setting.

- After selecting a channel, press the MENU button twice. The current privacy code will flash.
- Use the UP/DOWN arrow buttons to select a privacy code (1-142).
- Press the PTT button to confirm or MENU to move to the next setting.
5. NOAA Weather Scan and Alert
- Press the WX button to activate NOAA Weather Scan. The radio will scan 10 NOAA weather channels.
- When a weather alert is detected, the radio will automatically switch to the weather channel and sound an alert.
6. Ayyukan SOS
- Press and hold the SOS button to activate the distress signal. This will transmit an audible alert to other radios on the same channel.
7. Kulle Mabuɗi
- To prevent accidental changes to settings, press and hold the LOCK button until the lock icon appears on the display.
