Please read these instructions carefully before use and keep them in a safe place for future reference. Failure to follow these instructions may compromise your child's safety.

The Cangaroo Pilot car seat is designed for children from birth up to 36 kg, covering Groups 0+/1/2/3. It features ISOFIX connectivity for secure installation and a 360-degree rotation function for convenience.

The Cangaroo Pilot car seat can be installed using either the ISOFIX system or the vehicle's 3-point seat belt, depending on the child's weight group and vehicle compatibility.

3.1. ISOFIX Installation (Groups 0+/1, 0-18 kg)

For children from birth up to 18 kg, ISOFIX installation is recommended for maximum security. Ensure your vehicle is equipped with ISOFIX anchor points.

  1. Extend ISOFIX Connectors: Locate the ISOFIX release button (often red or grey) on the car seat base. Press it and pull the ISOFIX connectors outwards until they fully extend.
  2. Attach to Vehicle: Align the ISOFIX connectors with your vehicle's ISOFIX anchor points. Push the car seat firmly until both connectors click securely into place. Green indicators should appear on both connectors, confirming correct attachment.

3.2. Seat Belt Installation (Groups 0+/1/2/3, 0-36 kg)

For all groups, the car seat can also be installed using the vehicle's 3-point seat belt. Specific belt routing varies for rear-facing (Group 0+) and forward-facing (Groups 1/2/3) positions.

  1. Rear-Facing (Group 0+, 0-13 kg): Position the car seat rear-facing. Route the vehicle's 3-point seat belt through the designated blue belt guides on the car seat. Ensure the lap belt is tight across the child's lap and the diagonal belt passes through the guide at the back of the seat. Fasten the seat belt buckle.
  2. Forward-Facing (Groups 1/2/3, 9-36 kg): Position the car seat forward-facing. Route the vehicle's 3-point seat belt through the designated red belt guides. For Group 1, use the car seat's internal harness. For Groups 2/3, the child is secured directly by the vehicle's 3-point seat belt, with the car seat acting as a booster.
  3. Duba Tsaro: Ensure the vehicle seat belt is taut and the car seat is firmly secured.

4.1. 360-Degree Rotation

The Cangaroo Pilot car seat features a 360-degree rotation function for ease of use.

  1. Unlock Rotation: Locate the rotation release lever or button on the front or side of the car seat base. Press or pull it to unlock the rotation mechanism.
  2. Juya Kujera: Gently rotate the car seat to the desired position (e.g., towards the car door for child placement, or to switch between rear-facing and forward-facing).
  3. Matsayin Kulle: Ensure the seat clicks back into a locked position once rotated. Never drive with the seat unlocked or in an intermediate rotation position.

4.2. Harness Adjustment

The 5-point harness system must be correctly adjusted for your child's safety and comfort.

  1. Loosen Harness: Press the harness release button (usually located at the front of the seat, under a flap) and pull the shoulder straps outwards.

  3. Buckle Harness: Bring the two buckle tongues together and insert them into the central buckle until they click.

  5. Adjust Shoulder Height: The shoulder straps should be at or just below your child's shoulders for rear-facing, and at or just above for forward-facing. Adjust the headrest and shoulder strap height as needed.

The car seat offers multiple recline positions for your child's comfort. Locate the recline adjustment lever (usually at the front or side of the base) and adjust to the desired angle. Ensure the seat is securely locked in the chosen recline position before driving.

  • Seat does not rotate: Ensure the rotation release lever/button is fully engaged. Check for any obstructions around the base.
  • Child is uncomfortable: Adjust the recline position, headrest height, and harness tightness. Ensure no clothing is bunched up under the harness.
