4. Saita da Shigarwa

Proper installation is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of your Prity S3W21 stove. It is highly recommended that installation be carried out by a certified professional.

4.1 Cire kaya da Sanyawa

  1. Carefully unpack the stove, removing all packaging materials. Inspect for any shipping damage.
  2. Place the stove on a level, non-combustible surface (e.g., concrete, tile) that can support its weight (134 kg). Ensure the floor beneath meets local building codes for load-bearing capacity.
  3. Verify that the required clearances to combustible materials (as listed in Section 2) are maintained around the stove.

4.2 Haɗin Chimney

The stove requires a 130 mm diameter chimney connection. Ensure the chimney system is clean, structurally sound, and properly sealed.

  1. Connect the stove's flue outlet to the chimney using appropriate flue pipes and connectors.
  2. Ensure all connections are airtight to prevent smoke leakage. Use high-temperature sealant if necessary.
  3. The chimney must extend above the roofline according to local regulations to ensure proper draft.

4.3 Central Heating System Connection

The Prity S3W21 features an integrated boiler with a capacity of 29 liters. Connection to your central heating system must be performed by a qualified heating engineer.

  1. Connect the boiler's flow and return pipes to your central heating system.
  2. Install all necessary safety devices, including an expansion tank, pressure relief valve, and temperature gauges.
  3. Fill the central heating system with water and bleed all air from the system.
  4. Test the system for leaks and proper operation before initial firing.

5. Umarnin Aiki

Follow these steps for safe and efficient operation of your wood-fired stove.

5.1 Fuel Loading

  • Use only dry, seasoned wood. Moisture content should be below 20%.
  • Open the combustion chamber door slowly to prevent smoke spillage.
  • Place wood logs horizontally or vertically, ensuring not to overfill the chamber. Leave space for air circulation.

5.2 Kunnawa

  1. Open all air inlets (primary and secondary air controls) fully.
  2. Place crumpled paper or natural firelighters at the bottom of the combustion chamber.
  3. Stack small pieces of kindling on top of the firelighters.
  4. Light the firelighters. Once the kindling is burning well, add slightly larger pieces of wood.
  5. Close the combustion chamber door once the fire is established.

5.3 Ikon Jiragen Sama

  • Jirgin Sama na Farko: Controls the air entering from below the grate, essential for ignition and burning solid fuels. Keep fully open during ignition, then adjust to maintain desired burn rate.
  • Jirgin sama na biyu: Controls air entering above the fuel, promoting cleaner combustion and reducing emissions. Keep open during ignition and adjust for optimal flame appearance and efficiency.
  • Adjust air controls to achieve a steady, bright flame. Avoid smoldering fires, which produce more smoke and creosote.

5.4 Central Heating Operation

  • Monitor the water temperature and pressure gauges on your central heating system.
  • The stove's heat output to the water system will depend on the intensity of the fire. Adjust fuel loading and air controls to achieve the desired water temperature.
  • Never allow the central heating system to run dry or operate without proper pressure.

6. Kulawa

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your Prity S3W21 stove.

6.1 Cire Ash

  • Remove ashes regularly, typically daily or every few days, depending on usage.
  • Ensure the stove is cool before removing ashes.
  • Use a metal shovel and place ashes in a metal container with a tight-fitting lid. Store the container away from combustible materials.

6.2 Cleaning the Combustion Chamber and Heat Exchanger

  • Periodically brush down the interior walls of the combustion chamber to remove soot and creosote buildup.
  • Utilize the upper door for easy access to clean the heat exchanger surfaces. Remove any ash or soot deposits to maintain optimal heat transfer efficiency.

6.3 Chimney Cleaning

  • The chimney and flue pipes should be inspected and cleaned at least once a year, or more frequently if heavy usage or wet wood is burned.
  • Creosote buildup in the chimney is a fire hazard. Professional chimney sweeping is recommended.

6.4 Gabaɗaya Dubawa

  • Regularly check door seals for wear and tear. Replace if necessary to maintain airtightness.
  • Inspect all connections to the central heating system for leaks or corrosion.
  • Ensure all air controls operate smoothly.

7. Shirya matsala

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your Prity S3W21 stove.

  • Smoke Spillage into Room:
Dalilai masu yiwuwa: Poor chimney draft, blocked chimney, door opened too quickly, wet wood.
Magani: Check chimney for blockages, ensure chimney is warm before loading, open door slowly, use dry wood.
  • Poor Heat Output:
Dalilai masu yiwuwa: Wet wood, insufficient air supply, creosote buildup in heat exchanger/chimney, undersized stove for space.
Magani: Use dry wood, ensure air inlets are open, clean heat exchanger and chimney, verify stove sizing.
  • Fire Difficult to Start or Maintain:
Dalilai masu yiwuwa: Wet wood, insufficient kindling, cold chimney, inadequate air supply.
Magani: Use dry kindling and wood, pre-heat chimney with paper, ensure air inlets are fully open during ignition.
  • Central Heating Water Not Heating:
Dalilai masu yiwuwa: Insufficient fire intensity, air in the water system, pump malfunction, closed valves.
Magani: Increase fire intensity, bleed air from the system, check pump operation, ensure all valves are open.
  • Excessive Creosote Buildup:
Dalilai masu yiwuwa: Burning wet wood, restricted air supply, low burning temperatures.
Magani: Burn only dry wood, ensure adequate air for hot, clean burn, clean chimney and flue pipes regularly.
