4. Saita

4.1 Assembling the Machine Stand

Follow the instructions provided in the separate assembly guide for the machine stand. Ensure all bolts are securely tightened for stability.

4.2 Shigar da Software

Install the provided Graphtec Studio 2 design software and Cutting Master 5 plug-in on your computer. Refer to the respective software installation guides for detailed steps. Cutting Master 5 integrates with Adobe Illustrator and CorelDraw for direct cutting from your design application.

5.2 Basic Cutting Operation

  1. Prepare your design in Graphtec Studio 2 or your preferred design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw) using the Cutting Master 5 plug-in.
  2. Load the media onto the plotter, ensuring it is straight and secured by the pinch rollers. Adjust pressure adjustable push rollers as needed.
  3. Set the origin point on the plotter using the control panel.
  4. Send the cutting data from your computer to the plotter.
  5. Monitor the cutting process. The CE8000 boasts a 450 gf cutting force and 39"/s cutting speed for efficient operation.
  6. Once cutting is complete, unload the media.

5.3 Using ARMS (Automatic Registration Mark Sensing)

The reliable Registration Mark Sensing System (ARMS) ensures precise contour cutting of pre-printed graphics. This is crucial for applications like print & cut.

  1. Ensure your printed graphic includes the necessary registration marks.
  2. Load the printed media onto the plotter.
  3. From the control panel, select the ARMS function. The plotter will automatically detect the registration marks.
  4. Once marks are detected, send the cutting data. The plotter will adjust the cutting path based on the detected marks for accurate alignment.

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your plotter.

  • Tsaftacewa: Regularly clean the plotter's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Use a brush or compressed air to remove dust and debris from the cutting area and around the pinch rollers.
  • Sauya Ruwa: Replace the cutting blade when you notice a decrease in cutting quality or when the blade becomes dull. Refer to the Cutting Blade Manual for detailed instructions on how to safely replace the CB09UB blade.
  • Pinch Rollers: Keep the pinch rollers clean and free of adhesive residue to ensure proper media feeding.
  • Sabunta Firmware: Periodically check for integrated firmware updates to ensure your plotter has the latest features and performance enhancements.
