4. Setup (Before First Use)

Before brewing your first pot of coffee, follow these steps:

5. Operating (Brewing Coffee)

Follow these steps to brew a fresh pot of coffee:

1. Cika Tafkin Ruwa: Open the water reservoir lid and fill with fresh, cold water to your desired level, using the magnified water-level indicator as a guide. Do not exceed the 10-cup maximum fill line.

6. Operating (Programming Features)

• Saita Agogo:
  • With the coffee maker plugged in, press the "Clock" button.
  • Use the "Hour" and "Minute" buttons to set the current time. The time will be displayed on the LCD.
• Setting the Auto-On Timer:

  • Use the "Hour" and "Minute" buttons to set the desired time for brewing to start.
  • Ensure coffee grounds and water are loaded into the machine. The coffee maker will automatically start brewing at the set time.

• When the descaling indicator illuminates, it is time to descale the appliance.
• Magani Tsabtace: You can use a commercial descaling agent specifically designed for coffee makers, or a solution of white vinegar and water (e.g., 1 part white vinegar to 2 parts water).

  • Fill the water reservoir with the descaling solution up to the 10-cup mark.
  • Place an empty paper filter in the filter holder.
  • Place the empty thermal carafe on the base.
  • Start a brewing cycle. Allow half of the solution to brew through, then turn off the coffee maker and let it stand for 15-20 minutes to allow the solution to work.
  • Turn the coffee maker back on and allow the remaining solution to brew through.
  • Discard the solution from the carafe.
  • Run at least two full cycles with fresh, cold water only to rinse the coffee maker thoroughly.
