4.1 Kafin Aiki

4.2 Basic Cutting Techniques

  1. Starting the Cut: Turn on the band saw and allow the blade to reach full speed before beginning the cut.
  2. Kayan Ciyarwa: Feed the workpiece slowly and steadily into the blade. Do not force the material. Maintain firm control of the workpiece with both hands, keeping fingers away from the blade.
  3. Yanke Madaidaici: Use the longitudinal stop for accurate straight cuts. Adjust the stop to the desired width and secure it firmly.
  4. Yankan Lanƙwasa: For curved cuts, guide the material slowly, allowing the blade to follow the desired curve. Avoid sharp turns that could bind or break the blade.
  5. Stopping the Cut: Once the cut is complete, turn off the machine and wait for the blade to come to a complete stop before removing the workpiece or making any adjustments.

4.3 Adjusting the Table Angle

The work table can be tilted from 0° to 45° for bevel cuts. Loosen the locking knob beneath the table, adjust to the desired angle using the angle scale, and then securely tighten the knob.

4.4 Using the Longitudinal Stop

The longitudinal stop (rip fence) is used for making consistent straight cuts. Position the stop parallel to the blade at the desired cutting width. Use the quick-release lever to lock it in place. Always ensure the stop is firmly secured before starting a cut.

5. Kulawa

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your band saw. Always disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance.

5.1 Tsaftacewa

5.2 Maye gurbin Ruwa

Replace the blade when it becomes dull, damaged, or if you need a different tooth configuration for a specific task. Follow the steps in Section 3.3 for installation.
