5. Saita Umarnin

5.2 Platter and Belt Installation

  1. Place the platter onto the center spindle.
  2. Locate the drive belt (usually pre-installed on the underside of the platter or around the motor pulley). If not pre-installed, carefully stretch the belt around the motor pulley and the inner rim of the platter.
  3. Place the slipmat on top of the platter.

5.3 Cartridge and Tonearm Setup

The AT91 Audio Technica cartridge is typically pre-installed. If not, follow the cartridge manufacturer's instructions for installation.

  1. Balance the Tonearm: Gently remove the stylus protector. While holding the tonearm, rotate the counterweight at the rear until the tonearm floats freely and is perfectly level.
  2. Set Tracking Force: Once balanced, hold the counterweight stationary and rotate the numbered ring on the counterweight to '0'. Then, rotate the entire counterweight (including the numbered ring) counter-clockwise to the recommended tracking force for the AT91 cartridge (refer to cartridge specifications, typically 2.0 grams).
  3. Set Antiskating: Adjust the antiskating dial (refer to Figure 3) to match the tracking force you set. This helps prevent the stylus from skipping inwards.

5.4 Haɗin Sauti

6.1 Playing a Record

  2. Select the correct playback speed (33 or 45 RPM) using the speed selector switch (refer to Figure 4). For 45 RPM records, you may need a 45 RPM adapter (not included).
  3. Move the tonearm lift lever to the 'UP' position to raise the tonearm.
  4. Gently move the tonearm over the desired starting groove of the record.
  5. Lower the tonearm lift lever to the 'DOWN' position to slowly lower the stylus onto the record. Playback will begin.
  6. Use the 'Start/Stop' button to initiate or pause platter rotation.

6.2 Adjusting Pitch

The TT700 features a Pitch Control knob. This allows for fine adjustment of the playback speed.

  • Rotate the 'PITCH CONTROL' knob clockwise to slightly increase the playback speed or counter-clockwise to decrease it.

6.3 Stopping Playback and Automatic Return

  1. At the end of a record, the tonearm will automatically return to its rest position.
  2. To stop playback manually, move the tonearm lift lever to the 'UP' position, then gently guide the tonearm back to its rest.
  3. Switch the speed selector to 'OFF' to power down the unit.

7.1 Cleaning the Stylus

A clean stylus ensures optimal sound quality and extends record life.

  • Use a soft stylus brush, brushing gently from back to front (in the direction of the tonearm).
  • Do not use excessive force or brush from side to side.

7.2 Cleaning the Turntable

  • Wipe the turntable cabinet and dust cover with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the finish.
