Follow these steps to set up your MiLi MiTag with your iOS device:
- Prepare your iOS device: Ensure your iPhone or iPad is running the latest iOS version and has Bluetooth enabled.
- Open the "Find My" app: This app is pre-installed on all compatible Apple devices.
- Add a new item:
- In the "Find My" app, navigate to the "Items" tab.
- Tap the "+" icon (Add Item).
- Select "Other Supported Item."
- Pair the MiTag: Your iOS device will begin searching for nearby compatible items. Bring your MiLi MiTag close to your device. The pairing process should complete within 30 seconds.

MiLiTag leverages the Apple "Find My" network to help you locate your belongings.
- Within Bluetooth Range (up to 100m / 400ft):
If your item is nearby, open the "Find My" app, select your MiTag, and tap "Play Sound." The MiTag will emit a loud sound (80-100dB) to help you pinpoint its exact location. You can also use the "Find Nearby" feature for more precise location guidance.

- Outside Bluetooth Range:
If your item is out of Bluetooth range, the "Find My" app will display its last known location on a map. The vast Apple "Find My" network (hundreds of millions of Apple devices) can anonymously and securely detect your MiTag's location and relay it to you, even if it's far away.
Left-Behind Reminder
MiLiTag can notify you if you leave your item behind:
- Kunna Sanarwa: To receive left-behind reminders, ensure that notifications are enabled for the "Find My" app on your iOS device.
- Automatic Alerts: Idan Mi ɗinkuTag moves out of Bluetooth range from your iOS device, the "Find My" app will send you a reminder notification within approximately 10 minutes, prompting you to retrieve your item.

MiLiTag uses a replaceable CR2032 coin cell battery, which typically lasts up to 12 months. You can check the battery status within the "Find My" app.
