1. Gabatarwa
The DMXking eDMX2 MAX is a versatile 2-universe Ethernet DMX adapter designed for professional lighting control applications. It offers a flexible solution for DMX distribution, supporting both Art-Net/sACN (E1.31) over Ethernet and USB DMX connectivity. This device is ideal for scenarios requiring more than a single DMX universe without the complexity or cost of larger systems. It features Power over Ethernet (PoE) for simplified installation and robust 5-Pin DMX connectors.

4.1 Ƙarfafa Na'urar
The eDMX2 MAX can be powered via two methods:
- Ƙarfin Ethernet (PoE): Connect an Ethernet cable from a PoE-enabled switch or injector to the device's Ethernet port.
- USB-C Power: Connect the supplied USB-C cable to the USB-C port on the device and to a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB power adapter).
4.2 Connecting DMX Devices
The eDMX2 MAX features two 5-Pin DMX ports, labeled 'A' and 'B'.
- Connect your DMX lighting fixtures or other DMX-compatible equipment to these ports using standard 5-Pin DMX cables.
- Ports can be configured as DMX output or DMX input using the configuration utility.

Download the DMXking configuration utility from the official DMXking website. Use this utility to:
- Set IP addresses and network settings.
- Configure DMX ports as input or output.
- Assign Art-Net/sACN universes to each DMX port.
- Sabunta firmware na na'ura.
5. Aiki
5.1 Ethernet DMX (Art-Net/sACN)
Once configured, the eDMX2 MAX will receive or transmit DMX data over your Ethernet network using Art-Net or sACN protocols. Ensure your lighting control software is configured to send/receive data to/from the device's assigned IP address and universe numbers.
Important Note for Art-Net Users: When utilizing Art-Net protocol, it is common practice for the first universe to be designated as Universe 0 and the second universe as Universe 1. Verify your lighting control software's universe numbering scheme to ensure proper communication.
5.2 USB DMX
When connected via USB-C, the eDMX2 MAX functions as a USB DMX interface, compatible with ENTTEC Pro protocol. This allows direct control from DMX software running on your computer without requiring an Ethernet network.
5.3 DMX Input/Output
Each DMX port can be independently configured as either a DMX output (sending control data to fixtures) or a DMX input (receiving DMX data from a console or other DMX source). This flexibility allows the eDMX2 MAX to act as a bridge or converter within your DMX system.
6. Kulawa
The DMXking eDMX2 MAX is designed for robust operation with minimal maintenance. Key aspects include:
- Sabunta Firmware: Regularly check the DMXking website for new firmware versions. Updating the firmware can provide new features, performance improvements, and bug fixes. Use the configuration utility for this process.
- Duban Jiki: Periodically inspect cables and connectors for wear or damage. Ensure the device is kept in a clean, dry environment. The tough metal enclosure provides protection against physical impact.
7. Shirya matsala
- No DMX Output/Input:
- Verify power is supplied to the device (PoE or USB-C).
- Check DMX cable connections.
- Ensure DMX ports are correctly configured as input/output in the DMXking utility.
- Confirm the correct Art-Net/sACN universe is assigned and matches your control software.
- Art-Net Communication Issues:
- Ensure the device's IP address is on the same subnet as your control computer/network.
- Check firewall settings on your computer, which may block Art-Net/sACN traffic.
- As noted in operation, confirm Art-Net universes are correctly mapped (e.g., Universe 0 for the first, Universe 1 for the second).
- USB DMX Not Recognized:
- Try a different USB-C cable or port on your computer.
- Ensure necessary drivers are installed (if required by your operating system, though often plug-and-play).
